India's Public broadcaster Prasar Bharti launched the DD India channel in a high-definition (HD) version on 3rd October 2020. DD India channel launched first in 1995 as DD International TV Channel. It is a completely free-to-air TV channel. Earlier it was showing DD-1's programs to an international audience, but now this channel became international news and current affairs channel.
So now DD India is a free-to-air satellite English international news channel of Prasar Bharati. The channel seeks to become a truly Global Public Broadcaster Channel with unique high-quality content and services.
